Fun day in Bogota

Today we had a really relaxed day and got to hang out with Martha which is always awesome! Mauricio & Martha picked us up at 11:30 to go to do a power of attorney for me to give Evan authorization to sign my name to everything after I leave Bogota. It was so simple, way quicker and way cheaper than the paperwork we have been doing in LA for the last 9 months. Mauricio is so great - he went to some cheap place today before he picked us up & got Evan a watch because he left his good one back in LA. Our apartment needed some sprucing up & a few items so we went back to Exito, the giant supermarket that has everything you could ever need and this time it was only $200.000 instead of $400.000. Ha!

When we left Exito Martha said she knew where to go to get cheap things - it was a tiny flea market where they had different artists with hand made items. We bought a little notebook and the lady burned all of our names into it.

After the flea market we went to a restaurant called Archie's which Martha said they have in the US as well. We had pizza that was yummy, Evan had a salad and Leidy had a hamburger. At the end of the meal I had a hot tea that they make in a coffee pot full of fruit and it was SO delicious! I want to try to make it at home when I get back.

We went to hang out at the park by Martha's house and got to meet 2 of her 3 dogs. She is a major animal person which is one of the things we love about her (among the many others). The girls played at the park and had a blast. It is awesome to see them having so much fun.

Today's pics are of the flea market, Archie's, the park and a few randoms...
