Salt cathedral, zoo, park and anniversary

Evan and the girls drove today with Maurico 1 1/2 hours to the salt cathedral which is basically an underground church built in a salt mine. It looks really pretty and I would have loved to have gone to it.You can read more about it here:

After that they went to a zoo / amusement park of some sort that Evan said was really weird. Ha! Apparently some guy went to Disneyland here and went back and tried to do something similar but pulled off about 1/4 of Disney.  ;)

He said the little town they were in today was awesome and it was the best food he has had since he got to Colombia.

We don't really do the mushy thing and don't remember or know every little date in our relationship but tonight I did realize that 6 years ago today was the 1st day Evan & I hung out. It is a funny story, actually.....our coworker & my friend Cadan tried to set us up and we both said no to her. Evan was adamant he didn't date people he worked with & didn't even want to know who it was she wanted to fix him up with. I knew who it was but didn't want to date someone I worked with and also told her he wasn't my type. What was my type you ask? As my good friend Nicole described it in response to a pic of us I later sent to her "He doesn't have 40 pounds of piercings & doesn't look like he will steal your identity. What gives?" Yeah.....In any case, a little while went by and I thought I saw Evan out at a sports bar one night but he had a hat on & wasn't in his polo shirt so I wasn't 100%. I asked the bartender what his name was but the guy wasn't giving out their patrons' personal info - whatever! I told Cadan that I thought I saw her lost match for me & she got all excited and was telling me that it was my in to talk to him. After about 2 weeks he and I were both at work late and were the only ones left so I poked my head in his office & asked if he was at the bar a couple of weeks ago and he looked at me like I was a little crazy while explaining that it was so long ago that he didn't know, but that it could have been him. I didn't introduce myself or anything, just babbled on about sports for 5 minutes and left. The following Friday it was late again and we were the last of the bunch so I stuck my head in his office & said I would be at the same bar Sunday so maybe I would see him there. Later that night my friend Kelly was in town and we went to Tom Bergins which is no where near anything, really. I was telling her about this guy at work and how I thought he was too normal and I wasn't sure about someone I worked with, etc when I turned around and who was standing behind me? Yep, Evan, in which will go down as the most random encounter while talking about a pseudo stranger ever. We all hung out (his friends were there as well) until about 4am and that was 6 years ago today.  :)
