Mall Day

Hola!
We practiced English with the girls for about an hour today and Leidy was yawning & wiggling the whole time. She is definitely our little boy!  ;)

Today we spent a large chunk of the day at the big mall Unicentro, too much time actually. It looked a lot more interesting from the outside so we gave ourselves about 4 1/2 hours before the movie was to play at 6:50pm. Not so interesting! Everybody got 1 thing but most of the stores were either too blingy or for old ladies. There was one department store but most of the sections were pretty small. Leidy started having a mild meltdown but wouldn't tell us why so we were trying to explain to her that it is important to communicate in your family but we didn't get much from her. We realize that they have never really had anyone to communicate with as a parental figure so that might take some time. She got over it pretty quick though when we asked her if she wanted to stay or go home. I think she was just really tired from watching the Lakers with Evan last night so no more staying up past 10:00! We wandered around for awhile and then decided to get the girls their 1st manicure since we had so much time to spare. They didn't sit them next to each other which kind of sucked but they still liked it and both got bright pink polish. We went to a burger bar type place but we are figuring out that no where here has turkey or chicken burgers so Evan & I got chicken and the girls ate hamburgers. Since it is Saturday the girls are allowed to have Coca Cola so all of us ordered it and I love that it comes in bottles...it just makes it a little bit better.

We kept looking at Evan's watch and it was 6:20 when we decided we needed to get the check & get out of there to get to the 6:50 movie (Mirror Mirror in English with Spanish subtitles). I went to take a picture with Evan's phone & it said 6:48!! The watch Maurico got Evan has slowed way down and now the movie was 2 minutes away. They went to the theater while I stayed back & paid the bill. Um, we messed up! It was soooo crowded and the lines had probably 100 people in them.  :(   oooopsie! Instead we went to the supermarket in the mall, hit up Dunkin Donuts for Evan to get a coffee and then home to play Chinese Checkers. Maybe tomorrow?

The mall had a few casinos which is super weird and outside in the parking lot are guards up above watching the cars which is nice for the shoppers. I also took a picture of Leidy's manicurists shoes because they were tennis shoes but they had metal heels! Bling

FYI - if you are ever in Bogota, don't go to the mall on Saturday unless you like to be a sardine.
