The last couple of days have been spent collecting everything we need to get our visas to travel. Because we are there using the court systems, we need to get visas from the Colombia Consulate here in LA so we are going Monday morning. All we need to do today is get copies of our passports and then get passport photos. There is of course a hidden trick to the photos that you would only know from people who have been through this but the photos have to be 1.25" x 1.25"...TRICKSTERS!
Today we need to do all of our shopping / preparing for Colombia because we are hoping to leave next Sunday 4/15. One of the awesome things about the condo is the washer / dryer so we don't have to pack too much AND there is a maid who does your laundry - oh yeah!! I secretly can't wait to go and have someone do all the cleaning, cooking, shopping, laundry, etc ;)
Shoulder update - got my MRI where they inject dye straight into the joint....weirdest feeling ever! It blows up the joint so it feels ginormous and 100 pounds. I took the MRI disc to the doctor yesterday and he said that I have to start 6 weeks of PT Monday to see if the shoulder will tighten up on its own. If it wont then we will need to explore surgery as it is very loose & has already popped out once again. The MRI photo (see pic) shows that where the arrow is doesn't match at all to the other side where the white triangle is. Also he said when it was injured it caused a major rotator cuff sprain AND the bursa is so inflamed he almost couldn't get the cortisone injection into the joint! This is all so convenient when you are about to travel to another country. :(
